And now he is finished!

I am so pleased with this painting. Yaeger was a very handsome warmblood stallion who belonged to my good friend Anne at Blacktree Farm in Kitsap County, Washington. Anne takes beautiful pictures of her horses doing all sorts of horse things including playing in the snow. I painted Yaeger based off of Anne’s photo and just for me, just for fun, and just for the challenge. And it was. Challenging. This painting measures 22″ x 16″ unframed. By the way, Blacktree Farm has a supply of frozen semen if interested. Yaeger’s babies to date have grown up and have jobs such as eventers, jumpers, and even a vaulting mount (at 18hh). Yikes. They are all so sweet, as was he, which I think is captured well in my painting.
